New to the league or just curious? Here's everything you need to know before you rack 'em. Still stuck? Reach out in the group — no question is a bad one.
Do I need a team to join?
No. NAPA of Pensacola is a singles league — it's all on you. Show up on your own and you'll compete one-on-one. No teams to organize and no one to rely on but yourself.
I'm a beginner — is this league for me?
Absolutely. All skill levels are welcome, from first-timers to seasoned competitors. Because NAPA uses a skill-based rating system, a newer player can genuinely compete with — and beat — a veteran.
What games do you play?
Singles 8-Ball and 10-Ball, with more formats and events added as the league grows.
Where and when does the league play?
Matches are hosted at Nine Mile Billiards in Pensacola, Florida. It's a Sunday league — check the live schedule for current match times and the full season calendar.
Is this an official, sanctioned league?
Yes. NAPA of Pensacola is a local division of the North American Poolshooters Association (NAPA). Your matches are sanctioned and your results are rated on NAPA's national system, opening the door to sanctioned regional and national events.
How do I sign up?
Join the Facebook group, introduce yourself, and get on the schedule. Spots can fill up, so it's best to reach out early.
Do I need my own cue or equipment?
No. You don't need any of your own gear to get started — just come ready to play. Bring your own cue if you have one, but it's never required.
Do you offer lessons or coaching?
Yes. One-on-one coaching is $35 per hour, and a 3-hour bootcamp is $120, covering stance, cue-ball alignment, defense and offense. See the Training page for details and to book.
Can I watch a match before I join?
Yes. Full matches are filmed and posted on the RefuzNation YouTube channel, and you're always welcome to come watch in person on league night.
What does the league cost?
It's $10 to play 8-Ball and $10 to play 10-Ball, or $20 for both. Join the Facebook group to get on the schedule.
